Join Kay Walker for a day of Barn Quilt Painting at The Creative Place!

DATE / TIME: Tuesday, June 25, 2024 9:00 am – 5:00 pm (may finish before 5 pm)

All boards come pre-marked with your chosen design!!! Isn’t that awesome?!?!?! You just come and paint!

DETAILS from Kay:

Base Class Prices: (A + B)

A) BOARD FEES (includes board that is primed and marked (beginner & intermediate patterns), paint (up to 7 colors) / paint supplies, and instruction

1′ x 1′ board (12″ x 12″): $60.00 (base price)

2′ x 2′ board (24″ x 24″): $80.00 (base price)

12″ x 18″ board: $65.00 (base price – includes vinyl “Welcome”)

B) CLASSROOM FEE: $10.00

Students MUST register and send their full class payment, board size, pattern and paint color choices at least 2 weeks prior to the class date: (no later than June 11, 2024!!!) Kay’s address: Kay Walker 22077 Queens Road Parsons, KS 67357 NOTE: Kay can also receive payment via Venmo!

ADD-ONS:

STAND BRACKETS: Small (12″x12″) – $5.00 Large (12″ x 18″) – $8.00

PATTERNS: Kay’s Advanced Patterns: +$5.00; Patterns provided by you (not in Kay’s stock patterns): ask for price quote

PAINT COLOR PRICING: 1 – 7 colors – included in base price; 8 – 14 colors – +$5.00; 15 – 21 colors – + additional $5.00

OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE CREATIVE PLACE: You may make arrangements to stay overnight at The Creative Place on Monday night or Tuesday night (6/24 or 25) or both. The additional fee is $60 / night / person. This would be payable directly to The Creative Place (cash or credit / debit card) upon arrival for the workshop. Please reserve your overnight stay through Kelly Ashton (913-484-5496). Thanks!

STUDENT SUPPLY LIST: blow dryer (MUST blow cool air), old shirt / apron. (The Creative Place has power strips / extension cords for student use.)

LUNCH / SNACKS: as desired. (NOTE: The kitchen at The Creative Place will not be available for use during the workshop. Please bring a sack lunch (there is a refrigerator in the studio space) and beverage of your choice (bottles of water are supplied by The Creative Place) OR The Bean Coffee Shop is located next to The Creative Place (sandwiches, snacks, beverages) and Pop’s Sweet Shoppe (ice cream, other sweet treats) is across the street from TCP. Feel free to bring snacks to share, also, if you wish.
